So many things about the billion-dollar fence being built on our Mexican border sits ill w/ me. It seems there should be a better option then literally separating the wealthy country from the poverty stricken one. I never really have understood borders. Yeah, yeah I don’t really want to live in an over-populated land either, but the whole basis of nationality is odd. The place where you are born determines the rest of your life. Just makes me come to terms even more w/ the truth that the place you live makes or breaks you. That’s why I’m not so sure about this whole LA thing…. not a big fan. Anyway, I digress…

Anyway, not sure how many voters/superdelegates this will bring over to Obama’s side, but I’m hoping enough to make it count. And I know Edwards has talked down to Obama and his policies before, but I think Edwards sees the potential in this man none-the-less. That’s just what a politician does, most politicians anyway.

I’m feeling really, really good about this…

Have you ever noticed how perfect imperfections can make people? I most definitely have. Imperfections in the people in my life have allowed me to fall in love, forgive, and adore them.

In honor of that statement, here is a little story my Ma sent me. Ahh, thanks Mom!
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a
pole which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and
always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked
pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home
only one and a half pots of water.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its**
**own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it
had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to
the woman one day by the stream.
‘I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to
leak out all the way back to your house.’

The old woman smiled, ‘Did you notice that there are flowers on your
side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?’

‘That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower
seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you
water them.’

‘For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to
decorate the table.

Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty
to grace the house.’

I think the rainbow gives off the impression that I’m much more girly then I really am. Hmm, maybe I should change it… But I do like rainbows. And this one brings back memories of my amazing time spent on the little island in Brazil where I kidnapped it while it was looming over the ocean.

Oh, it’s this constant indecision and paranoia of judgment that stresses me out. Yes, its froo froo, but I am keeping the rainbow… for now.

Did you hear about the drug bust at San Diego State? They re-coverd 2 kilograms of cocaine, 350 Ecstasy pills, marijuana, meth and prescription drugs. 96 people were arrested and 75 of them San Diego State students. My fav part of this story is that the agents loved to tell the media in a chuckling tone one of the students was about to receive a criminal justice degree and another was to receive a master’s degree in homeland security. I think it’s funny because I have a feeling so many cops and agents experimented while they were young. I’m not surprised at all. And to hear these officers talk about the raids was ridiculous. They were so pleased w/ themselves. I’m just guessing here but I’ll betcha 3/4 of these people are totally normal college students having fun while they’re young. I feel bad for these kids. Not that I’m all pro-drugs but I guess I just have a problem with all this time and money spent on some crazy crack down at a college. Kids will be kids right? (note to self: that statement immediately makes you sound like a lame adult). Can’t they find something else to fund? Maybe the San Diego fire department?

Anyway enough about that. Have you heard of Salvia before. My friend in NY told me about it and apparently you can find it in Chinatown. Get it while you can, it may become the next illegal drug. No, I’ve never tried it, and honestly I’m a little scared if you really get the sensation that you’re underwater for 20 minutes. Although, if I thought I was a mermaid or something and could breathe under there it’d be great.

Ok, thats all.

Hell yeah, Obama took N. Carolina and almost squeaked by Clinton in Indiana. Obama is now within 200 delegates of clinching the 2,025 delegates necessary to snag the Democratic presidential nomination. Of course that number is excluding the 286 delegates from MI and FL, which are still being considered but not likely to count since those states broke the parties rules and held their primaries early. According to RealClearPolitics, Obama has 1845 delegates and Clinton has 1693. There are still 217 delegates at stake in the final six primaries: West Virginia, Kentucky, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Montana and South Dakota. And 267 superdelegates are still undecided. If all goes as it should, Obama will remain in the lead w/ the most delegates and the remaining undecided superdelegates shall vote for Obama, the choice of the people.

Overall for Obama, prognosis is good. Even better news, big players are starting to come to their senses. One of the big first endorsers of Hillary, Former Sen. McGovern, urged Clinton to drop out of the race. Clinton came very close but now is the time to bow out gracefully. It’s time to unify the democratic party before things get too messy and we hand the win to the republicans. My biggest fear though, is that by the time they realize this it will be too late.

Little side note, a Time.com poll says 80% of 7,000 polled think Clinton should drop out. But well, guess that doesn’t mean much since the demographics of Time (educated middle to upper class) are most certainly Obama supporters, according to statistics.
