Recent Supreme Court Ruling that supports lethal injection

The death penalty is barbaric. I have felt this way since the day I could have cognitive thoughts running through my little brain. How can we believe the human race is evolving when we can’t even control our maddening desire for revenge? Because that is what executions are all about. You all know that right? It does not deter crimes. It is NOT cheaper then lifetime imprisonment. There is no such thing as a humane method of killing. Its unethical, PERIOD.

Here’s an interesting thing to note, America is of the minority who still performs executions.

Capital punishment was used in almost every part of the globe, but over the last few decades many countries have abolished it. Amnesty International classifies countries into four categories:

  • 62 countries still maintain the death penalty in both law and practice.
  • 92 countries have abolished it completely.
  • 10 retain it, but only for crimes committed in exceptional circumstances (such as crimes committed in time of war).
  • 33 countries maintain laws permitting the use of the death penalty for ordinary crimes, but have allowed the death penalty to fall into disuse for at least 10 years.

Who do we think we are to kill another human being? How does that teach anyone the rights and wrongs? Good and evil? Love and hate? I suppose I can only speak for myself, but I can’t imagine killing another will make that pain of losing a loved one go away. I can only believe the guilt would add more pain to a broken heart.

“I know something about killing. I don’t like killing. And I don’t think a state honors life by turning around and sanctioning killing. Now, that’s just a personal belief that I have.”

JOHN KERRY, Wolf Blitzer Reports, CNN, Sep. 17, 1996

This is a must watch for anyone who has been following Obama’s campaign. It’s hilarious! Stewart discusses all the most ridiculous scandals surrounding Obama’s candidacy. Including the controversy of Obama not wearing the American flag pin which the media and even debate monitors can’t seem to get enough of.

“Btw, I am wearing my flag pin, it’s just pinned directly to my chest.”-Stewart

It gets even better, trust me and watch

McCain’s stance on the WAR as far as I can tell is: stay in it to win it.

“…the promise of withdrawal of our forces regardless of the consequences would constitute a failure of political and moral leadership.” -John McCain, Tuesday, April 8, 2008

Listen buddy, the war was started illegally. It should never have happened. America was not prepared for the war from day one. It’s a big fat mess. America messed up. Period. Admit this massive mistake done by our government, bring home combat forces, ask for UN peace keeping help and begin to mend both countries best we can. That should be the plan. Did we learn nothing from Vietnam? The sooner we admit our mistakes, the less out of control it becomes. You of all people, being a POW for 5 1/2 years, should know.

“By ignorance we mistake, and by mistakes we learn.”

McCain’s stance on ABORTION is unforgivable:

“I do not support Roe vs Wade. It should be overturned”-John McCain, Sun., Feb. 18, 2007

“He voted against family planning, he voted against the freedom of access to clinic entrances — that was about violence against women in clinics,” Keenan says, adding, “He voted against funding for teen pregnancy-prevention programs, and making sure that abstinence only was medically accurate. This is very, very extreme.” - Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL Pro-Choice America

To break it down for you, he does not believe in abortion yet he does not support educating kids on pregnancy-prevention. This is a big problem. He does not believe schools should teach teenagers how to use contraceptives, he only wants them to be taught prevention by abstinence. He does not believe insurance should cover birth control. Yet, he does not support programs like Planned Parenthood.

To be fair, I must include that he would support exceptions to a ban on abortion in cases of rape, incest, and when the mother’s life is in danger.

I’ve run out of time to ridicule any more of McCain’s other ridiculous political beliefs, but have no fear, another McCain bashing will follow soon enough…
