What the hell…. Stay tuned

Who watched the debates last night? I did and I came away just as undecided as ever. The things I noted:

-Clinton needs to have more control over her tone of voice

-Edwards is a pretty sweet little guy w/ some southern hospitality

-Obama is a little cocky

-They all really want to better this country, maybe we can roll them up into one really awesome pres?

So Now I’ve got to investigate that whole accusation that Obama chose to not vote on certain matters in Illinois. We need a president who knows whats good and bad, not whats maybe ok or maybe not ok .

First listen

Jack Johnson’s new song “Hope”… (P.S. that photo was not my doing)

My initial reaction, its alright. I’m a big fan of his new single “If I Had Eyes”

Polar Bears Wait-Listed as Endangered

“Global warming has such far-reaching implications [for conservation] that it’s very depressing,” says Kert Davies, research director for Greenpeace. “Those are the thoughts that send me to the bar.”

“Take Me to the Riot “- The Stars. A modern day Cure…

“As human cloning advances, ethics debate gets louder”

My friend just IMed me that a human was cloned. I immediately thought of the movie The Isalnd, w/ ScarJo and Ewen McGregor, and chills ran up my spine. And then I thought, well maybe it wouldn’t be soo bad. They could clone me more Sawyers! But then I realized she was talking about human embryos, and well not so freaky.

It’s actually a great thing. Right on Cali for voting and seeing it through!

This is cool, my friend Annie sent this to me:

Apparently Obama is my man. To be honest I am still waffling a tiny bit between him and Clinton.

What we don’t agree on, according to this thingy are the following issues:

An additional carbon tax on fuel will effectively reduce pollution

Your opinion: tend to agree
Opinion Barack Obama: tend to disagree

Proposition 1:
The best way to reduce the federal deficit is to raise taxes

Your opinion: tend to disagree
Opinion Barack Obama: tend to agree

Iran is not an imminent threat to world peace

Your opinion: tend to agree
Opinion Barack Obama: tend to disagree

The US should decrease its spending on defense

Your opinion: tend to agree
Opinion Barack Obama: completely disagree

To prevent illegal immigration, the US should complete the fence along the entire Mexican border

Your opinion: completely disagree
Opinion Barack Obama: tend to agree

The one that bugs me the most is the wall along the Mexican border. Isn’t that sorda like the Berlin Wall? Anyone? Fill me in…

So yes that title is lame. But I am lame, so it’s permitted.

I’ll be traveling to S. America at the end of next month. I’ll be staying in Buenos Aires w/ a friend who is moving there.

So far we have planned a bus trip to their wine country, Mendoza, where I shall get drunk off “Christ’s blood”. Then to Mar Del Plata on the coast. Yeay! Travel, travel. The downfall… apparently I have to get vaccines for Hep, Yellow Fever,  and Typhoid, booooo!

Any recommendations? Travel tips?

I’ve always felt Scientology was a brain-washing cult, like I do many religions, so when I watched the buzzed about video this week of Psycho Tom Cruise posted on Gawker.com I was nearly unaffected. But as the day progressed and more and more buzz arose, I started researching recent headlines on this religion that I’ve always been so disgusted by. And I saw this article on the BBC posted back in May of 2007. Yes, like the story of my life goes, I came a lot late to the party. And if you live under a boulder like me, you never heard about it. Once you read the BBC journalist’s article, watch this, and try not to be too put off by the super annoying, unnecessary captions.

I’m about ready to swear all who believe in a religion based on the teachings of a science-fiction writer out of my life. Beck, Jerry Seinfeld, I’m talking to you!

This is me
